The new issue of Classic Rock Presents Prog fdeatures an Interview with Ian jones talking about the new Karnataka album and forthcoming debut album from Chasing The Monsoon.

 

 

 

Chasing The Monsoon is a new collaborative project featuring strong rhythmic elements, ambient/experimental soundscapes and incorporating rock/celtic/world music influences.

 

Ian Jones is bassist/acoustic guitarist/writer with British rock band Karnataka. Karnataka have released four albums and two dvds to date and are currently working on a new studio album The Gathering Light.

Steve Evans is a songwriter and producer/engineer and has worked with many artists in a distinguished career. Steve produced Karnataka's Delicate Flame Of Desire. On this new project Steve's compositional and 'soundscaping' skills come to the fore helping to forge the unique sound of chasing the monsoon.

Ian Simmons is a guitarist, songwriter and artist. His playing encompasses many styles from jazz to rock to classical.
